TimeWatch Agents - James Harrod

Today's TimeWatch recruit is James Harrod, 1700s pioneer, soldier, and hunter. He served in the French and Indian War as well as Lord Dunmore's War, and was a colonel in the local militia. He led expeditions into what is now Kentucky and Illinois, was noted for his frontiersman skills and ability with a rifle, and was generous to local Indians even though his brother and father's first wife were killed by them. There are multiple theories regarding his eventual disappearance, but we know TimeWatch found a prime recruit.

Shadow of the Demon Lord - Demonic Device Distinctions

Created a table of 30 results to distinguish the appearance and nature of tainted, demonic and otherwise vile enchanted items and artefacts. These serve to provide flavour rather than system benefits or drawbacks.

Shadow of the Demon Lord - Random Name Generator

Created five pages of random name generators for all of the ancestries in SotDL and its supplements, including the forthcoming Jotun (thanks to Rob Schwalb for sharing the forthcoming names with me!). All names are based on the cultures behind the various ancestries' name examples and on the patterns used in purely fictional names. Over 750 names in total suitable for Player and GM characters.

TimeWatch Agents - Kim Am

Today's TimeWatch recruit is Kim Am, a Korean from the 8th century Kingdom of Silla. He was an astronomer, astrologer, military commander, envoy to Japan, master of ying-yang, and shaman of supposed mystical power. Quite the résumé.

Shadow of the Demon Lord - New Weapons and Options

Decided to fill a few gaps in the weaponry offered in Shadow of the Demon Lord, providing details for the spike bayonet for rifles, war club (for tech-impaired barbarians), staff sling, cast net (based squarely on the net in the SotDL core rules, now useful for gladiators), spikes to add to shields, and combination pistol/melee weapons. Note: Updated quickly following feedback on the SotDL G+ page. Thanks Gwilym!

TimeWatch Agents - Christian Andreas Käsebier

The latest TimeWatch agent is an interesting chap from 18th century Prussia. Charming, intelligent, and cunning, he was not apparently a violent man but rebelled against his tailor background to become a crime boss, robber, and eventually an intelligence operative for King Frederick the Great. No one really knows what happened to him in the end, though some claim he was executed by the Austrians. We, of course, know that such a talented man was prime recruitment material.

Find out more about him below:

TimeWatch Agents - Lai Choi San

And because it's day one, here's a bonus entry: Lai Choi San

Lai Choi San was a female pirate captain who commanded a fleet of a dozen junks, at least one of which was armour-plated and cannon-armed, in the 1920s and 1930s (you read that right!), operating in the South and East China Seas.

We don't know much of anything about her, so you can really fill in the blanks as you see fit. All we know is that she must have been tough and charismatic to command such a large group of cut-throats.

TimeWatch Agents - Spartacus

I have been steadily assembling a rather large list of historical figures for whom we have no solid dates or information regarding their death, or whose bodies were never recovered. Why? Because we really know they were recruited by TimeWatch!

We'll start this regular feature off with a big one I'm sure most of you have considered:

Spartacus! Yes, that Spartacus; rebel gladiator who made a mockery of Rome's might, if only for a short while. See, although several sources state he was killed in the battle, it is also reported that his body was never found.

You know you want to play or encounter agent Spartacus, if only to step forward, all steely-eyed and shout, "I'm Spartacus!".
